PC Cleaner checks the security status of your computer. For optimal security you should have anti-malware software installed on your PC, Windows firewall enabled, latest Windows updates turned on and backup software installed.
The following are included in the security scan:
Check for active anti-virus software – If no active anti-virus software is detected on your PC then PC Cleaner will provide a link to a free anti-virus trial program.
Check Windows firewall is turned on – If the firewall is not active use the link “Activate” to access the Windows Control Panel and turn the firewall back on.
Check Windows updates are being installed – For maximum security it is advisable to always install the latest Windows updates. PC Cleaner checks that Windows updates are set to automatically install.
